The Student Nurse Navigator is a 12-month staff position reporting to the Director of Practical Nursing. In addition to the qualifications and responsibilities of the School of Health Sciences, the student navigator is responsible for assisting students by providing academic assistance, counseling, and referral to community agency contacts for pre-health sciences and School of Health Sciences students. This is a grant-funded position through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and ends June 30, 2024.

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to managing student navigation of the Senatobia, Oxford, Desoto, and Ashland Campuses.
This position is funded through the America Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds Mississippi House Bill 3113 as enacted by the legislature of the State of Mississippi during the 2023 regular session Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Funds.
